Meet Ben Sluzas
Competitive professional golfer, PGA Associate, and instructor at Cog Hill Golf & Country Club. More than a decade studying the swing, player development, and performance — from both sides of the lesson tee.
Growing up under the guidance of renowned instructor Kevin Weeks, Ben has built one of the most accomplished amateur and collegiate resumes in Illinois golf. He is a two-time Illinois High School State Champion, Illinois State Junior Champion, U.S. Junior Amateur Match Play qualifier, and 2024 Blackberry Amateur Champion.
During his collegiate career at Northern Illinois University, Ben served as Team Captain for three seasons, helped lead the Huskies to their first Mid-American Conference Championship in more than 30 years, earned multiple All-MAC honors, and established the lowest scoring average in program history.
Ben was also a two-time collegiate tournament champion, capturing victories at the 2022 Badger Invitational and the 2023 Ohio State Invitational against some of the top players in college golf. These experiences competing at the highest amateur and collegiate levels inform every lesson he teaches.
Today, Ben combines his competitive experience with modern coaching tools and a player-centered approach. Whether working with junior golfers pursuing competitive goals, adults seeking greater consistency, or accomplished players striving for peak performance, Ben is committed to helping every student better understand their game, build confidence, and reach their full potential.
